Meet the MPTO Leadership Team

  • Mercy's Parent Teacher Organization exists to support our wonderful Mercy faculty and staff, to serve as a resource for parents, and to build a community that engages families to contribute to the success of our children.  We invite all parents to get involved!

Hello, I am Clarissa Chung. My husband and I have three children and one on the way. Cooper (4) is in Pre-K4. I was born and raised in Southern California, and was working in engineering and supply chain management before becoming a full-time mom. We are truly blessed to be part of the Mercy parish and school since moving to Maryland a few years ago, and are looking forward to another great school year!

My name is Julia Clarke. My husband Dan and I have been Mercy parents and parishioners for almost 6 years. We have two daughters, Sophia (11) in grade 5 and Felicie (5) in PreK 4. I worked in the school for two years in the Pre-K program. I have a background in graphic design. My family and I are happy to be part of a wonderful and family-oriented community like Mercy. Our daughters are happy and thriving under the guidance of dedicated teachers that really embody the Catholic faith.

I’m Bridget, mother of 2 (Marella 3rd) and Christian, I love the outdoors, learning, and/or experiencing other cultures, and Hawaii.

My name is Dede Pearson. I am originally from Ghana and grew up in Northern Virginia. I live in the area with my husband, David, and our two children David, Jr. and Dalia. David is currently in the second grade and Dalia is excited to join the Kindergarten class this year. I enjoy volunteering and love to travel and spend time with my extended family and friends. Professionally, I am a Human Resources Specialist with the District of Columbia Government.

Art Gomez - Hello, I'm a father of six children, and as of Fall 2022, all six children will be attending Mercy. Artie (12), Liam (11), Marina (9), Finn (6), Lena (5), and Anna (3). I am involved with Mercy Boy Scout Troop 706, love the outdoors, and I am looking forward to being a part of this MPTO team.

I’m a mom, a mental health professional, and a competitive cheer coach. I have three children Ava (11), Vincent (9) and Lexi (6). We’ve happily been a part of the Mercy community since 2015 and are looking forward to the upcoming school year.
