• School Advisory Council

    In conjunction with the Strategic Plan, we have established a new School Advisory Council (SAC) comprised of parents, parish members, and community leaders. The Council's purpose is to provide advice and assistance to the School’s Administrative Team (Pastor/Pastoral Administrator and Principal) in the governance of the School.  Bringing valuable expertise and experience, these members have operated in committees, tasked with achieving the goals and priorities in the plan.

    • James Greeves, member of Committee on Council Members, Controller, Koons of Silver Spring, Mercy alumnus
    • Jay Heath, Mercy Parent Teacher Organization Representative, Attorney, parent of Mercy third grader
    • Bob Johnson, member of Facilities Committee, President of Natelli Custom Homes and Renovations
    • Anne Killeen, member of Policy and Planning Committee, real estate professional with Washington Fine Properties, Mercy alumna, mother of three Mercy graduates
    • James Lawson, Chair of Buildings and Grounds Committee, Marriott Corporation, father of one Mercy student
    • Linda Budney LaRoche, SAC Chair, member of Mission Enhancement Committee, parish member, school volunteer, holds degree in Canon Law and works with the Archdiocesan Tribunal, Dame of Malta, serves on boards of Saint Meinrad Seminary and Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless
    • Emily Montgomery, Director of Moreau Options Program at The Academy of the Holy Cross
    • Shannon Provenzano, Chair of Catholic Identity Committee, works with Potomac Community Resources, volunteer with Mercy’s Walking with Purpose, mother of one Mercy student
    • Frances Scango, SAC Assistant Chair, member of Policy and Planning Committee, retired principal of Blessed Sacrament School, Principal Mentor for the Archdiocese of Washington, Catholic Schools Office
    • Sheila Shea, Board member, Kennedy Institute in D.C., inclusion teacher at Diamond Elementary, special education trainer for ADW, public school educator in Montgomery County for 42 years, created and runs religious ed program at St. Rose of Lima, master catechist
