Grade 5

The fifth grade year at Our Lady of Mercy School focuses on spiritual development, academic achievement, and social awareness. Students are guided daily and are encouraged to use study skill techniques that will serve them well as they prepare for middle school. In addition, Catholic doctrine is discussed and reviewed and time is set aside for prayer and reflection. Character Education is an integral part of the fifth grade program. Additionally, students are challenged to be aware of the global world and to make good decisions as they interact with their peers to build a strong classroom community.
